Chambers: I Was Wrong »« Ripping Off the White Sheet

When Wingnuts Tweet

Unlike a lot of my readers, I can’t get too excited about Obama being reelected. I’m very happy that Romney lost, because he’d be bad in all the ways Obama is bad and far worse in many other ways. But Obama has still been a constitutional nightmare and I have no hope that he’ll stop being one any time soon. But what I am absolutely giddy about is watching the wingnuts lose their fucking minds over it. Let’s take a walk through Twitter…

Erik Rush, the completely deranged black man who claims that America suffers from an excess of “negrophilia,” said, “Now we shall see the face of evil” and that we need to “utterly disenfranchise liberals in this country.”

Matt Barber said, “Get ready for ugly. You saw how radical Obama was his 1st term. You ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.” He followed that up with, “Know what tomorrow is? Wednesday. Socialist in the White House. Gutless GOP House & a paralyzed Senate. Sigh. Back to work.”

Robert Stacy McCain let loose a barrage of wailing and gnashing of teeth. Compiled together, in the order he made them:

If FL, VA, OH and CO don’t come through, who in TX is in favor of … um, independence?

UPDATE: OBAMA WINS RE-ELECTION; AMERICA HOPELESSLY DOOMED

If Americans are stupid enough to be bamboozled by the lies of the Obama stooges in the media, we deserve this SCOAMF

2 Questions: How long will the SCOAMF’s dishonest victory speech continue? Where’s the “mute” button on this damned remote?

DOOMED BEYOND ALL HOPE OF REDEMPTION

“We are permanently and irretrievably screwed.”

Well, it was a nice little republic while it lasted.

Victoria Jackson was distraught.

I can’t stop crying. America died.

The Democrat Party voted God out and replaced Him with Romans 1. In the Good vs. Evil battle…today…Evil won.

Thanks a lot Christians, for not showing up. You disgust me.

That makes me so happy.

Ted Nugent joined in the fun too:

Pimps whores & welfare brats & their soulless supporters hav a president to destroy America

So Obama still demands the hardest workers provide for the nonwotkers. Shared opportunitiesmy ass

What subhuman varmint believes others must pay for their obesity booze cellphones birthcontrol abortions & lives

Goodluk America u just voted for economic & spiritual suicide. Soulless fools

I cry tears of blood for The Last Best Place & the warriors who died for this tragedy

Yeah, Ted loves those warriors in the military. That’s why he shit his pants for a month to avoid joining them and called them idiots. But don’t worry, he’ll be dead or in jail within a year, by his own declaration.

The hashtag #tcot (top conservatives on Twitter) brought lots of amusement. Like this:

rob delaney ‏@robdelaney @FoxNews if Barrack HUSSIEN O’Bama is relected our country is,gonna be one big hip-hop bar-b-Q til Iran takes our wommen! #tcot

Here are a couple more:

Chelsey Brown ‏@yuppchelsee I bet Obama supporters will be celebrating all night since they don’t have a job to go to in the morning. #tcot

willspencer ‏@willspencer Why should any American bother to work? If you work, the government will just take your money and give it to someone who doesn’t. #tcot

And this may be my favorite:

⚡Storm Jones⚡ ‏@StormBeast50 I’m moving to Texas because they will secede from the states when Obama wins and become the Republic of Texas! #NObama

Fine by me. Bye bye.

The Democrat Party voted God out and replaced Him with Romans

All right… all right… but apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order… what have the Romans done for us?

    Win Win

I’d feel bad for Nate Silver if Texas seceeded. Nobody would need him to predict elections any more.

  3. Chiroptera says

Erik Rush…said…that we need to “utterly disenfranchise liberals in this country.”

And that is the mindset of the contemporary Manichean US conservative. There, right there, is their hatred of democracy.

Rules only exist so that their side can win. Democracy and political liberty aren’t about fairness, there mainly one out of many possible procedures that allow them to get and maintain their own power. If the procedures allow the other side some measure of power, then the rules are being abused and must be changed or scrapped altogether.

Matt Barber said, “…a paralyzed Senate….”

And whose fault is it that the Senate is paralyzed? It’s paralyzed because the elected minority refuses to compromise with or work with the elected majority!

Again, this is their contempt for democracy on dispaly here. It is the duty of the majority to compromise or roll over and cater to their whims, because they are the ones in the right and so they are allowed to use any and all tactices to get exactly what they want, and to obstruct anything they oppose and even destroy the very system itself if it doesn’t result in the outcomes they desire!

Ed Brayton: I’m very happy that Romney lost, because he’d be bad in all the ways Obama is bad and far worse in many other ways.

As much as I disagree with and oppose Obama’s security state fetish, I can at least see why rational, intelligent people (albeit with values I strongly disagree with) would like his policies and vote for him gladly.

I cannot even fathom how so many of these Republican thugs and idiots can possible get enough support to even be contenders in the elections, let alone win them.

What disheartens me is how just short of 50% of the voters actually voted for Romney. I mean, WTF?

Huh? What does the O stand for? I figure it’s

    Socialist
    Communist
    ?
    Atheist
    Muslim
    Fascist

I wouldn’t mind seeing Texas quit the country. They’re a drain on our resources, have too much power over our school textbooks, and have an elitist attitude. They should form their own country so they can show the world just how badly libertarian governments can fail. Trust me, the moment they get hit with a natural disaster they’ll come running back to the Big Bad Blackman with their hands out demanding money.

But don’t worry, [Nugent]’ll be dead or in jail within a year, by his own declaration.

So, has anyone started a deadpool on this yet?

  7. Doug Little says

If Texas secedes and Portico becomes a state we won’t have to change the flag.

I was watching some cable news channels last night (FOX and MSNBC) just to see how things we shaking out for both sides. Man FOX is the new comedy channel these days, it is hilarious watching those guys slowly come to the realization that conservatism is not enough to win elections anymore. Caught Dick Morris on Billo’s show where he was trying to explain to Bill that he had it wrong because he had assumed that the turnout of 2008 was an outlier and proceeded to list the demographics where the Republicans got crushed. Do you think Bill got it. Nope not in the slightest.

Rachel Maddow went through some interesting facts about the election including listing all the republicans that lost who had been publicly questioned on rape and abortion.

I’ve been bouncing around the conservative blogs jabbing them in the ribs. They really are amazing, haven’t learned a thing, but keep chanting all the same nonsense that led to their defeat. One even had an article about Bill Ayers. Bill Freakin Ayers?!

I was hyped about Romney losing only because I want to see how the GOP handles the realization that they don’t have the numbers to win the way they always have, and that the demographics are going to demand a dramatic shift in policy. So far I see no indication that’s happened. They are droning on like broken records. Looks like they are headed for crushing defeat in 2016, and will probably need another in 2020, before they finally get the message.

  9. Trebuchet says

If FL, VA, OH and CO don’t come through, who in TX is in favor of … um, independence?

    That would be Rick Perry.

  10. brucegee1962 says

I always loved the Bill Ayers thing from conservatives. Two of their favorite talking points four years ago were:

    1) If the country goes too far in a direction we disapprove of, political violence may be necessary, and

    2) Bill Ayers committed political violence, so he is a terrorist.

  11. Doug Little says

I was hyped about Romney losing only because I want to see how the GOP handles the realization that they don’t have the numbers to win the way they always have, and that the demographics are going to demand a dramatic shift in policy.

Yeah, it’s a Catch 22 for these guys. They wont’t learn why they lost or change their policy that not the conservative thing to do.

No No, Nate Silver has a lock on that term for a while.

Funny seeing Nugent whine about hard workers vs. nonworkers. He himself has been a rock musician. And that ain’t working, that’s the way you do it. Money for nothing and your chicks for free.

I used to live in San Antonio, so I’ve been having fun reading the comments section of The SA News opinion page.
That section is inhabited by some rude and crude tea-partiers.
It’s been very amusing reading over there.

I cry tears of blood for The Last Best Place & the warriors who died for this tragedy

Not to put too fine a point on it, Ted, but are you sure that isn’t because of the drugs?

  18. says

Nugent claims he has never done drugs. On the other hand he did play guitar on the classic psychedelic single “Journey to the Center of Your Mind.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPijE305k5A

You just know that a good chunk of those who whine the loudest about those “lazy bumbs on welfare” are the first in line for anything free from the government, or for government bailouts at the slightest hint of trouble.

  19. Suido says

My thoughts on seeing SCOAMF was Supreme Commander of American/All Military Forces, which is conceivably what right wingers would call a president that they liked.
