Fischer Joins the Bizarre Lipkin Conspiracy

Avi Lipkin isn’t the only one pushing this absurd idea that Obama is trying to import Muslims to take over the country. He isn’t talking about 50-100 million of them — at least not yet — but he’s still claiming that Obama, and the all-powerful United Nations, are importing Muslims at an alarming rate and placing them deliberately in the South.

We are importing Muslims from Muslim-majority countries hand-over-fist. We have delegated to the UN the choice of those that come to the Untied States as refugees; we have said to the UN “you pick ‘em and we’ll take ‘em in.” So what the UN is doing, they are just flooding the United States with Muslims as refugees and they’re distributing all throughout the South. Why are they building that huge mosque in Murfreesboro, Tennessee? I mean, most of them have never even heard of Murfreesboro, Tennessee? What are they even doing there? Well that’s the United States government importing these Muslim immigrants at the behest of the UN and dropping them in these communities all over the South, deliberately seeding them all throughout the United States.

Right. Except that there has been a mosque and a sizable population of Muslims in Murfreesboro for decades. They’re just trying to build a bigger one. All of this is offered without a shred of evidence, of course, because evidence doesn’t matter to wingnuts.

… we have said to the UN “you pick ‘em and we’ll take ‘em in.”

When? By who? Is there even a tiny shred of truth to this?

I know Canada evaluates its own refugee claims, and we’ve long had a reputation as being a bit of a soft touch. It’s not actually true, but that’s the rep.

I suspect this is a misreading of the UN convention on refugees. Basically if a country has signed up they have agreed not to turn away any genuine refugee so in that sense the convention (which has UN in the name!)decides who gets in. The problem with this reading is that who counts as a genuine refugee is always decided by the nation in question and applications get rejected all the time in all sorts of places.

And this is why we have the vast majority of Somali refugees here in Minnesota. I just never knew I lived in the South. For some strange reason I thought I lived in the Upper Mid-West. Gosh!

Take them in? Ah! So that’s what the fleet of black helicopters is used for (when not resupplying airports with the stuff sprayed by airliners as chemtrails, or conveying Obama’s gay harem to his next destination / atheist orgy, or…).

You’d think that with all the Muslims being imported someone on Storage Wars would have bought an abandoned shipping container full by now.

Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…unless they are muslim, or atheist, or not a “real” christian.

And why are there all these Chinese people in Lawrence, Kansas? How many of them even know what a Jayhawk is? And what’s this “Confucian Institute” anyway? Is Obama importing communists, too?

Eh. I’ve found it hard to be shocked by anything Fischer says since he came out as an HIV/AIDS denialist. That one’s hard to top.

Fallacy no.1: The US doesn’t have the UN in it’s pocket. FFS, the whole problem with the UN has been that due to conflicts of interest it is very weak in representing any individual nation or the West in general.

No individual, state or group of states control the UN. Perhaps one day there may be better consensus around the world and the UN will have real and largely positive influence, but so far its a work-in-progress.

And THIS is why the US balance of payments is so screwed up. What’s wrong with the DOMESTICALLY-PRODUCED fabrics? We grow cotton here…wait. What?

Oh, sorry. I thought he said imported MUSLINS.

What are they even doing there?

If he’s really that curious, he could always just ask them himself?

Interestingly, at the top of this page is a banner ad for sharia compliant home financing!

The paranoia is just breathtaking. Of course before the Muslims, it was the Hispanics. And before that it was the Italians. And before that it was the Irish. And before that it was the Chinese. (Apologies if I got some of those immigration waves out of order.) They just need someone to hate/blame.

If he’d been around 50 years ago Fischer would have been promoting conspiracy theories about Jews plotting this and that, perhaps uusing a code phrase like International Bankders. Or he’d have claimed the Civil Rights Movement was the product of Communist agitators stirring up the Negros. It will ge interesting to see what conspiracy theory he, or his spiritual descendents, will be promoting 20 or 30 years from now.

You have to love the unconscious tone of that article: “They aren’t even importing these Muslims to the North where they already have sinners and Jews and Homer-sexuals. They’re trying to outnumber the REAL Americans in the South!”
