Donald Trump Needs Attention Again

Oh boy. It looks like The Donald is hard up for attention again. He went on Fox and Friends and made this announcement:

Donald Trump said on “Fox & Friends” Monday that he’ll reveal “very big” news about President Barack Obama by Wednesday, but declined to give any hints about his plan.

“Something very, very big concerning the president of the United States,” he said. “It’s going to be very big. I know one thing — you will cover it in a very big fashion.”

*yawn* Prepare to be underwhelmed. I’d be willing to bet a lot of money that it will turn out to be pure bullshit. And the fact that Joseph Farah tweeted this after the Monday night debate only reinforces that conclusion:

What difference does it make who won debate? Donald Trump is going to decide the election in 2 days…

This is as good as a prediction from Dick Morris or Bill Kristol; whatever they say is going to happen, you will get rich betting on the opposite.

It’s been reported that the big surprise is that he has evidence that the Obamas once had marital trouble and considered getting a divorce. Because that would be terribly shocking, right? Better yet, it’s being revealed by a guy who trades in his blond model wives every few years on a younger model. Bryan Fischer will be so proud.

Not really: if they say that X will happen, the odds-makers will heavily favor X not happening. It’s very unlikely that you would get even money on the bet.

    OBAMA… LITERALLY IS HITLER.

Has to be. It’s about the only claim they haven’t made yet.

I’m secretly hoping that Trump will claim he and Obama were secret lovers twenty years ago.

The real scoop is that Trump dug up Atwater, puppetized him, and is taking the act on the road.

The shocking news cannot be more troubling than the Rmoney issues:

Romney dodged supporting the US as a soldier to support his church.
Romney has pandered to the most extreme members of our society.
Romney supported (gasp) healthcare for (gasp, gasp) all citizens.
Ryan, the math whiz, cannot do math. Romney believes him.
Romney values women as much as he values his dog.

None of this seems to matter to anyone any more than Trump’s great revelation. Except Faux news.

Only “very, very big?” I’d tune in if it was “very, very, very big” but this is underwhelming.

I heard a rumor that it was a divorce that the Obamas decided AGAINST.

Because lard knows Trump is a paragon of marital stability. He says it’s something else, though, and will do the big reveal at noon.

It’s really funny that the Trumpster would think divorce is such disqualification to be president. Did he forget his own back when he briefly (and delusionally) thought he was qualified to be president?

Obama once ran over a woodchuck and the Donald has been wearing it on his head ever since.

I thought we already knew this about Obama’s marriage.

On the flip side of the coin, there’s Gloria Allred working on unsealing some testimony given by Mitt Romney in some Massachusetts divorce case some years back. There’s going to be another hearing Thursday.

I predict a newsvertisement, or whatever Ed is calling it. Whatever the announcement pretends to be, what it’ll really be is an excuse to talk about his next Celebrity Apprentice season, book, or something else.

Oh for crying out loud …

Trump has offered $5 million to Obama’s favorite charity if he’ll release all his school records to clear up his citizenship, ironically because questions like that should not be “part of the presidential dialogue” … which is, of course, exactly what Trump is trying to make it. Will he offer Romney $5 million to release all his tax records?

I’m sure he figures that if he says something nasty enough at just the right time, it will discourage some swing-state voters from voting for Obama. It doesn’t matter if it’s true- the corrections will only get noticed after the votes have been cast, as long as its nasty enough to make an impact.

I checked the Drudge Report just now, didn’t see anything except Trump’s request for President Obama’s college records.

That’s it … all of it. The link I gave above is to the “press release” Trump published on his Facebook page.

On Reuters: Trump to give $5 million to charity if Obama releases records

“If he releases these records it will end the question and indeed the anger of many Americans.”

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Just like the release of his birth certificate ended Trump’s questions. The Onion is right again.

What is he going to do with the 5 million if obama doesn’t give into his demands?

Does Trump even HAVE $5 million? Isn’t it about time for another of his bankruptcies?

  21. 21

yes, it will be utterly underwhelming. On the other hand, I have no doubt that Fox News “will cover it in a very big fashion.”

Where’s Chuck Barris when you need him? America needs someone to tell Trump that he’s ready for the gong.

    Saint Reagan was divorced.

He married Nancy when she became pregnant.

    Big deal.

  24. 24
    scienceavenger

It’s probably that Obama had been secretly gay married and murdered his husbands to keep them quiet. Stop laughing, it’s not some silly rumor, its something I heard…

It can’t be that divorce disqualifies one from being president, because St. Ronnie was divorced, and Republicans are always intellectually consistent, right? RIGHT?

Me earlier, assuming this was not the announcement since this is an old meme:

didn’t see anything [on Drudge Report] except Trump’s request for President Obama’s college records.

    John Pieret responds:

I can’t imagine how Donald Trump could be more ridiculous, and yet I bet he can.

No doubt making this announcement after the last debate was calculated, so that Romney wouldn’t have to answer embarrasing questions about the birther camp in his party.

Maybe he does that to help his business along — just like, IIRC, Newt once claimed he changed wives out of patriotism.

Just to play Devil’s Advocate, it’s true that Trump replaces his silicone wives every few years but it’s only because “teh gays” are making his marriage so weak! He’d stay married for decades if it weren’t for them.

gratch “Just to play Devil’s Advocate, it’s true that Trump replaces his silicone wives every few years but it’s only because…”
…the new models are out. He’s gone from a ’49 to a ’63 to, currently, a ’70. Just imagine, a decade from now, what new and exciting accessories the ’80s will have!

If I was Obama I’d be tempted to send him the records together with a note thanking for donating $5 million to my re-election campaign.

    @31:

Not that I’d trust that lying fuckbag Trump on anything, but definitely NOT with anything involving money. How that fucking grifter stays out of jail is beyond me.

The Grauniad is having fun with this “very big” news:

     ● Donald Trump wants Barack Obama to publish his college and passport records but won’t reveal his own: “Adviser deems Guardian request ‘stupid’ after tycoon’s ‘October surprise’ proves to be call for information on president”.

     ● The Donald trumps even himself for idiocy.

The Donald is a hugely annoying arsehole in Scotland as well, where he’s building a golf course and has a mansion, and is extremely rude to the locals. A film has recently been made about The Donald, and it’s not happy: Donald Trump is a joke, but not a harmless one (a comment piece by the film-maker): “As I learned while making my film, You’ve Been Trumped, the billionaire uses his celebrity and wealth to get his own way”.
