Wow. Even by wingnut standards, this conspiracy theory from Tony Perkins and Jerry Boykin is truly bizarre. On Perkins’ radio show, the two of them actually suggested that the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is responsible for a drop in the number of military people voting overseas (because it couldn’t be because we have far fewer troops on active duty, right?).

this is a good point, as aside from pure bigotry, authoritarian personalities in general are not strongly correlated with raw intelligence.
so, for people as dumb as the people in this vid appear to be, but ALSO exhibiting obvious aspects of authoritarian personalities, I suppose we need a 3-term phrase to describe them.
i propose:
demented authoritarian fuckwit, or “DAF” for short.
alternatively, utilizing Altemeyer’s terminology:
RWAF (right wing authoritarian fuckwit)
