In doing some research for my book, I found out that Madalyn Murray O’Hair’s two sons were beaten up several times when she was challenging the recitation of the Lord’s Prayer in their school. One of those sons was William Murray, who is now a Christian fundamentalist. And the man is either utterly irrational or a baldfaced liar. Here’s what he writes on the website of his PAC:
Earlier this year, Christian historian David Barton compiled a lengthy list of Obama’s anti-religious policies and statements. He’s called Obama the most “biblically-hostile” president in U.S. history. We agree wholeheartedly with Barton. Why is this important? It’s important because Obama directly threatens our religious liberties and the First Amendment’s protection of free speech in America.
Obama is waging a war on religious liberty – but he’s stopped waging a war on Islamic terrorism here and around the globe. He and his leftist buddies in the administration actually view the Muslim Brotherhood as a new ally!
Only on Planet Wingnuttia has Obama stopped fighting Islamic terrorism. On this planet, he’s ordered hundreds of drone strikes and has overseen the death or capture of dozens of terrorists. You really have to wonder if Murray knows that and doesn’t care, if he’s just discovered that there’s money to be made in peddling bullshit to ignorant fundies.

I seem to remember that Obama managed to kill Bin Laden.
Something that Bush failed to do.

It’s OK if you’re bearing false witness against your neighbor for Jesus.
Besides, Obama’s a Samaritan, and you know THAT crowd.

Think of something bad. Obama did that.
Now think of something worse. Obama did that too.
Finally, think of the worst thing you can think of. Obama did that, twice, and then again – backwards!
Why can’t you see how bad Obama is?

I was pumping gas the other day. There was this fellow on the other side of the island and we were face to face. I casually remarked, “Gas is ten cents cheaper on the other side of the county,” He sneered back, “You can blame Obama for that.” When I got back in my Jeep, I verbally chided myself for trying to communicate with a total idiot. WHERE WAS HIS SIGN???

Not only that – he’s Rebecca Watson as well, and thus to blame for everything.

I’m now convinced they live in some role-playing universe, where there is an ever-present evil and everyone, no matter their actions, has a permanent, unchanging motive and moral grade (“virtuous” “evil”). Actual actions in reality don’t register with them.

@ Akira MacKenzie
So, I’m not the only one to think that he may simply have found a way to not get beaten up.

I can’t help myself. I read a handful of comment threads at the Wall Street Journal every week. I seek out articles where federal fiscal policy has little or no influence on the topic, just to watch the commenters blame Barack Obama.
On a tangential note the Union of Concerned Scientists published an article a couple of days ago reporting that the Wall Street Journal and Fox News misinform their viewers regarding the state of climate science. No surprise there, but they do quantify the rate at which both outlets misinform their respective [overlapping] audiences. As of late last evening the Wall Street Journal hadn’t responded.

Actually, Ed, I’ve never wondered that since the first time I heard or read any of his crap.
His mother was a whackjob (a whackjob who was correct on the school prayer issue, but not much else), he’s a whackjob.
