Of all the right wing cranks out there pumping out loony Obama conspiracy theories, Avi Lipkin may be my favorite. He has the craziest theory of all — that Obama is going to move 50-100 million Muslims to America to take over the country. And the wingnuts are eating it up, putting him on radio shows to say things like this:
Forget about Israel, America is the primary and ultimate target of Islam because when America falls to Islam the rest of the countries in the world will fall like dominoes, and so the effort of President Obama is to Islamicize America and that’s why I’m saying that he’s going to bring 100 million Muslims to America to do this. He’s going to bring 100 million Muslims from countries where they’re going to be starving and they are going to be starving because the Muslim Brotherhood is a crazy, failed system and they cannot feed their people. It’s very important for Christians and Americans to wake up, what is Islam? What is the leadership today of the United States? I think you have a lot of useful idiots in the Democratic Party, including many Jewish people, who don’t realize the big mistake that they’re making, thinking that the Muslims are the good guys and the blacks are the good guys. A lot of black people are good guys but the black agenda, which totally supports Obama, is very closely linked with this fanatic Islam…
I have to tell you guys something, before the 9/11 attacks and in my first book which came out in 1998, which is four years before the 9/11 attacks, I was talking about the 9/11 attacks. Everybody said I was nuts and then when it happened everybody said I’m a prophet, I said I’m not a prophet, I just listen to my wife because my wife listens to them. They said they were going to take American planes and crash them into the World Trade Center. The problem with the American people is the American people doesn’t listen to what the enemy is saying. The Muslims say Obama’s a Muslim, he’s a Muslim. The Muslims say we’re going to have a Muslim in the White House in 2008, then they have a Muslim president of the United States. All you have to do is look at what he has done, how he has ignored the Christian prayer breakfasts and the National Religious Broadcasters and he’s always quoting the Quran and his whole life is around Islam. The bottom line is, he’s going to make America a Muslim country and he’s going to weaken America, make America an internationalized country. Agenda 21, the takeover of American land, farms, forests, natural resources, will be done in order to accommodate 100 million Muslim immigrants who will be brought in the next four years.
And when this doesn’t happen, because it couldn’t possibly happen, will he apologize? Will he admit he was wrong? Of course not. Like Harold Camping, he’ll just extend the time frame and double down, or come up with a new crazy theory to keep the money flowing in.

Just to give you some idea of scale, according to the USCIS, they admitted just over 1 million new Lawful Permanent Residents in 2011, a number that’s been fairly steady over the last few years.
Lipkin now proposes Obama is going to admit an average of 25 million new permanent Muslim immigrants each year for the next four. Sure, nobody’s going to notice that…

Too bad we can’t run with this meme supposedly being true in order to get Republicans to accept the fact and threat of global warming and promote sufficiently aggresive mitigation policies. That’s since a disproportionate number of Muslims live in areas which will eventually lose sufficient fresh water, making migration from their regions inevitable and therefore conflict as well.

I’m seeing more and more about the latest lunatic fringe boogeyperson, Agenda 21.
The John Birch society is pushing this, a few of them somehow realizing that the commies are all but extinct. The GOP has a position on it, opposed of course.
It seems to be a vague wish on the part of the UN that development occurs and be sustainable. I’m not sure why nonsustainable development is supposed to be good though. Presumably after we have pillaged, looted, vandalized, and ruined our planet, we can start on the rest of the universe or something.

I’m just trying to wrap my head around what would happen if you tried to boost the population by a third within four years. How much vacant housing is available? How much construction capacity exists to build more within that timeframe? What about transportation and energy grids, water and sewer?

Assuming they’re going to fly, the interior cabin width of a 747 is 20 feet, and it’s 250 feet end to end. So assume 200 * π * 10^2 to get a total volume of 60000 cubic feet. A person is about 1 by 2 by 6 feet, so if we “stack them like cordwood” that’s about 5000 passengers per plane (I’m assuming the plane can still take off with all that weight, just because it’s funny). So we need 5000 flights a year like that, or 14 flights a day. Better get started.
If you limit yourself to a typical 747 configuration but allow standing in the aisles, you can probably get 600 people per flight, so you need 114 flights a day. Assuming you just ferry back and forth, you’d need twice that many aircraft. Call it 250, to account for servicing. Wikipedia says 442 747-400s have been delivered, ever. Minus 4 hull losses leaves 438.
So, if we dedicate 57% of the worldwide fleet of modern 747s to the effort, we can just make that 100 million number before Obama leaves office.
Again, better get started.

This is kind of a rhetorical question, but honestly is there anything so stupid and outlandish that the wingnuts won’t believe it, or at least believe that it’s plausible? As others have pointed out, this is all but physically impossible. That it could be carried out without people, you know, noticing and getting upset about it, actually is impossible.
My dad was a conservative Republican to his dying day. Despite our many disagreements about politics, I never saw him drink this kind of Kool-Aid, or espouse a belief in something that was literally crazy (wrong, sure, but not crazy).
It’s way too early for a good stiff drink (besides, I’m at work), but this really makes me want one.

And, of course, many, possibly even most, Muslims are not the monolithic generic Arabs the typical red stater has in mind. African, Indonesian, Indian, Chinese…
Maybe we could take all the Chinese muslims?
Not only are they probably cheaper, since china doesn’t want them, and might even pay us to take them, but it would subtract from that 200 million man Army of the Apocalypse.

To make the plan work, they will be sending in freighter tanks carrying Muslim infants. How dangerous can an infant be, I hear you say … but that is where the plan really gets cunning. Who would ever suspect an infant of being a terrorist? Once you let your defenses down for even a second, that is when the Infantada begins.
