Fox News Reporter Jumps to Vatican

A Fox News reporter has changed bosses, though only slightly. He’s leaving the network to become a communications adviser to the Vatican. AP reports:

The Vatican has brought in the Fox News correspondent in Rome to help improve its communications strategy as it tries to cope with years of communications blunders and one of its most serious scandals in decades, The Associated Press learned Saturday.

Greg Burke, 52, will leave Fox to become a senior communications adviser in the Vatican’s secretariat of state, the Vatican and Burke told the AP.

“I’m a bit nervous but very excited. Let’s just say it’s a challenge,” Burke said in a phone interview.

And this part is entirely unsurprising:

Burke, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, is a member of the conservative Opus Dei movement. Pope John Paul II’s longtime spokesman, Joaquin Navarro-Valls, was also a member of Opus Dei.

I think this is a lateral move.

So it still doesn’t look as though Burke will be telling the truth anytime soon. The only difference in his jobs is that Fox, presumably, has fewer child rapists.

Fox News strategy is exactly what they’re interested in, telling an ever shrinking conservative contingent who to hate and how, while protecting authoritarianism through any sacrifice of moral integrity possible.

Gotta wonder what that interview was like.

“And now let’s move on to skills specific to this position. In three minutes, please list as many synonyms for “molestation” as possible.”

Larry – “The only difference in his jobs is that Fox, presumably, has fewer child rapists”.

Didn’t FOX employ Glen Bek? :)

Also members of Opus Dei were FBI traitor Robert Hansson and columnist Robert Novak. Novak was a columnist much favored by Hansson who fed him a number of juicy pieces of information. Of course, being as how Novak was a leading Israel basher in the media, I’m sure that his fellow Israel bashers who comment here will forgive him that indiscretion.

To be fair, if you show your Opus Dei card at any participating Subway, with purchase of a foot-long at regular price you get a second one of equal or lesser price free.

In typical RCC Inc. fashion the answer to the problem is not to stop committing the offences – it is to improve your advertising and PR to paper it over and hope nobody looks too close…..plus ca change, plus c’est la meme shit!

Opus Dei isn’t the sinister organization presented by Dan Brown. It is sinister, but in a different way.

Just imagine the look of confusion on their faces during the first strategy session:

“So you want us to blame decades of child abuse on… Barack Obama?”

    “It works in America!”

Not to mention that highly esteemed SCOTUS justice Antonin Scalia.

…haven’t there been a couple cardinals who tried blaming it on Satan? Seems kind of the same thing.
