I know this happened many months ago, but it’s worth revisiting. It may be the single best bit of satire done in 2011. It’s Jon Stewart saying goodbye to Glenn Beck’s Fox News show in the style of Glenn Beck. And I’m sure it makes Stewart a Nazi Commie terrorist-loving Satanist.

Jon Stewart is great. It’s sad when you can be a better informed citizen by watching entertainment shows on a network that identifies itself as comedy than by watching shows on other networks claiming to be news.
The readers here being well informed citizens, I’m sure most have heard the news regarding the president signing the 2012 NDAA into law yesterday. What a way to go into 2012.
What an interesting choice of epistemology –> search our feelings to know what’s true. Facts, emperical evidence, reason, who needs those things when you can trust your knowledge to feelings. Or a book written from the interpreted “feelings” of others.
I know about it. My brother informed me when he found out, and confident that they chose to sign it in on a holiday so fewer people would notice.
