From wingnut Michael Bresciani:
In our world most of those spreading the gay lie are liberals, activists, spineless academicians, Hollywood sellouts, and now we can throw in a president and a large contingent of fully duped politicians…There is little doubt that the entire gay and lesbian community is guided by a powerful demon spirit who is subordinate to Satan.
It’s much funnier if you read it in the Church Lady voice.

the emphasis being on the “our” (In our world). Their world is, of course, vastly different to the reality that the rest of us share.

Or in the original German.

Rent boy for pew 6 coming right up!
Gay lie? What gay lie? That fundies are intolerant? That bigot’s goals are unconstitutional? Maybe he’s referring to Marcus Bachmann’s clinic’s lie that homosexuality can be fixed.

Hey, I resent that. All the other wingnuts at least believe we report directly to Satan, and for him we’re under some mere subordinate? Demeaning.

Being in upper management, that’s what Satan does. He delegates. He’s crackin’ the whip, making his subordinates stay past 5, and he’s not springing for soul food until everyone approves of Teh Ghey. Thank god for Bresciani and his keen powers of observation.

It’s pretty damn funny just the way it is. Unless he’s off his meds, in which case I’m sad for him.

Sheesh, I actually went and read Bresciani’s piece, and it’s so goofy I was unable to find it funny. Maybe lack of bacon, and weariness from throwing stones, has caused some lightheadedness in this unfortunate man.

You have to analyze what is meant by the word “lie”. In our world, a lie is a willful statement known to contradict reality. In their world, a lie is a statement that deviates from doctrine, whether that doctrine is Christianity or supply-side economics.
For them, truth claims are not tested against reality itself, they are tested against pre-existing beliefs.
