Yeah – I’m always so proud that the US is right up there with China and Iran for its breezy way with executions.

Aagghh! You triggered my contrarianism. While we have many problems with the death sentence in our judicial system, it’s rather unfair to equate murder or other capital offenses with “driving while female”.

I’m not equating. I am pointing out that, politically, we have ceded the moral high ground. Fair or unfair, anyone who wishes to ignore us has an easy out.
