"The stubborn persistence of chauvinism in our life and letters is or ought to be the proper subject for critical study, not the occasion for displays of shock." – C. Hitchens
Okay, now it’s presented WITH comment. This picture is likely fake. That looks like an Obama-branded toque, and that person doesn’t actually appear to be genuinely crying.
That being said, there are lots of really great and really genuine photos at that tumblr. Go check it out.
Y’know, I have friends who know I’m in law school who are supposed to send me things like this… they know I don’t have time to tumblr. And yet, I have to discover it here. Well thank FSM’s tomato-based coating that I have you, Crommunist, to save me from missing this stuff.
I like that some of the links on the Tumblr lead to slideshows of Romney supporter photos, not intentionally compiled with a “white people” theme. Even in those slideshows, it’s still basically all white people in the crowds.
I love how one of the first I saw was someone on Twitter planning to move to Australia because we have a “president” who is a “Christian” who supports what “he” says. Congratulations, Fox News-based education!
But then I look at those signs, the stupidity, racism and greed on the faces of all these rich white conservatives, and dammit, their crocodile tears bring a smile to my face.
I thought I’d never enjoy hearing or reading anything Donald Trump or Glenn Beck had to say ever again, but I was wrong. Loving this.
Though I’m happy that Obama won, the fact that the conservatives had as much support as they did is disturbing. How could lying scumbags who ignore reality get as close as they did this election to the Presidency?
I know of a (SE Asian)non-white Romney supporter, though she did marry into a very conservative family and is now living in Texas. I couldn’t believe her. She was complaining about how liberals are so crass with their profanity while conservatives are so gracefully handling their defeat (super tone trolling). She was actually chastised by a mutual white friend for her support for Romney and conservative leanings. This conservative friend is originally from the SF Bay Area, so it’s kind of amazing how being surrounded by conservatives has warped her outlook.
Crommunist is a scientist, musician, skeptic, and long-time observer of race and race issues. His interests, at least blog-wise, focus on bringing anti-racism into the fold of skeptic thought, and promoting critical thinking about even those topics that make us uncomfortable. READ THE FAQ.

The part that sorta baffles me is how many of them are women. They are unable to realise how much the Rethuglican party hates them.
