Atheist Bus Ad Banned

This ad (featured above) which ran in Indiana for the last month was banned after “complaints from mostly religious people” helped contribute to a new official policy

which allows the board to review controversial advertising. And it was then the board realized that term, “controversial,” was much too broad, board Chairman Chip Lewis said.

“Lack of a written policy meant we were wide open to any type of advertising,” he said.

The friendly atheist thinks this is fair since this ad is banned as well, saying

I’m fine with the new decision. It’s about fairness. If atheist advertising is banned, then religious advertising should be, too. It will be.

Good deal.
