They look pretty enough through a telescope, but this… this is nice.
Will that big storm on Jupiter ever stop? It’s been going on for centuries.

Ahhh Jupiter, my second favorite planet.
Here’s the original: Jupiter-Io Montage, assembled from some pictures taken by the New Horizons spacecraft when it flew by that planet in early 2007.
That spacecraft is on its way to Pluto, and it is now just before Neptune’s orbit. It will fly by Pluto on July 14, 2015, almost a year from now.
