I got the same message; there is an option to provide feedback, which I did. I quoted their own bullying and harassment policy words back to them and asked how a page that specifically asked how a real person should be murdered didn’t meet their criteria.
The war is ongoing. This is a battle.
What can I do to help?
It’d be interesting to see how FB would react to a “Should Mark Zuckerberg be murdered?” page. Somehow I’m sure that would be taken down right quick.
I humbly suggest that Arsebook may have legal problems should some nutcase answer ‘yes’ and perpetrate such a murder.

I also reported the page, and got the same response. Then I reported a specific post, which said this:

Yes, same for me. It seems odd that there’s no “this page has been removed” notification, but if it’s down, good.
I used the feedback thing to shout at them very loudly. That’s probably what did the trick. 😀
I find it quite believable. Lots of people suck, and so does FB, a paragon of corporate suckage.

There is an option to provide feedback at the bottom of Facebook’s response. I made good use of mine…
I also noticed I gt the same response when I reported the “Fire Rebecca Watson” which was later taken down. I suspect the first round of complaints just go to a bot that rejects them…
I got the same message, originally as well. I wonder if any “administrator” actually checks until the page has received a certain number of complaints.
My guess is that an automated tool created the original reply that it didn’t find anything wrong with the page. There was probably enough feedback to the automated message that an actual person looked at it and said, “oh shit” and took it down.

This is their policy on bullying/harassment:
“Facebook does not tolerate bullying or harassment. We allow users to speak freely on matters and people of public interest, but take action on all reports of abusive behavior directed at private individuals. Repeatedly targeting other users with unwanted friend requests or messages is a form of harassment.”
I got the same dismissive message and responded back asking how a page advocating the murder of a person, in its very name, could not be seen as anything other than threatening? FB is making it easier and easier to drop it.
I suspect that this the issue here is a ‘bot spitting out a very poorly worded autoreply. No ‘bot should ever give an answer that sounds like a decision issuing from actual human authority. The default should be “This matter is being investigated” or “Initial automated review does not warrant immediate blockage, but further complaints will be investigated by an actual person” or some such so that facebook doesn’t give the impression of being callous corporate tools when no actual person is being callous and the (initial) decision is being made by a literal tool.
If they are that stupid then they deserve the reputation.
Every day I find a new reason to thank the fortuitous configuration of my neurons which keep me from even considering joining Facebook.
When you deactivate your Facebook account, you are asked to provided a reason for leaving. I made it very clear that I didn’t want anything to do with a site the finds that sort of thing acceptable. I don’t know if anyone will ever read it, and even if they do I don’t have any illusion that it will make a quark of difference, but anyway I’m done with FB.

That’s definitely my impression as well. In fact, I got the same reply as everyone else except that parts of the text was in Norwegian (my first language). I guess they’re not finished translating all their standard responses yet 😛
Anyway I agree that it’s f**king incompetent to allow a bot to fire off an automatic response that clearly indicates that they have indeed looked into it and found the site to be acceptable. It sure as hell doesn’t make me any more partial to stick around.
Why do I not find this surprising from a corporation founded, so it is said, for the purpose of supplying its founder (Mark Zuckerberg) with an endless supply of willing females (not “women,” as that would imply they are seen as human)? The freeze peach of dudebros is what counts, not the lives of females.
In the dudebro world — which is to say, the world we live in — hatred and murder of women is seen as just business as usual. For more evidence, just read the paper. Every few days I read about some dude who kills (or tries to kill) his wife or SO or some woman he has a hangup about: buried in the local news section, along with the missing dog stories.

So it’s maybe a bot spitting out an automated no – but that just moves the questions back a step. Why THE HELL would it set up its bot to refuse to do anything about a page that chats about murdering a real, named person?
We’re not talking about arrests, or citations, or firings, or notifying the perps’ parents. It’s just a matter of taking down a Facebook page. The bar doesn’t need to be that high! Especially not when it comes to gossip about MURDER.

And if their stated policy disallowed threats but allowed harassment, that might be slightly relevant. But it’s not.
Maybe give Facebook owners a taste of their own medicine – create the exact same page but replace “Miri Mogilevsky” by “Mark Zuckerberg”? Wonder how long it would stay up?
