    I really wish some people would explain to Limbaugh et al that there’s a significant difference between liberals and communists. It’s like the difference between fascists and and conservatives

    I’m afraid that in American politics, there is little discernible difference between fascists and a very significant proportion of those who call themselves conservatives. (The actual distinction between ‘fascism’ and ‘conservatism’ are, of course, independent of such self-labeling.)

    Virtually the same phrase was used by opponents of Julia Gillard in Australia. Clearly it says more about conservatives then it does about any specific female politician.

    I’m kind of curious about that button that reads “A Womans” as it’s top line. If it’s what I think, it’s pretty clear that the Republican party has descended below the average childish squabbling of politics and hit a fairly deep vein of “most children know better than that, what’s your excuse?”
