Selective murder

Al-Shabaab has killed at least 30 people at a shopping mall in Nairobi.

Somalia’s militant group al-Shabaab is claiming responsibility for the attack on a Nairobi mall on Saturday that has killed at least 30 people, saying it was retribution for Kenyan forces’ 2011 push into Somalia. The group threatened more attacks.

Al-Shabaab, on its Twitter feed, said that it has many times warned Kenya‘s government that failure to remove its forces from Somalia “would have severe consequences”. The group claimed that its gunmen had killed 100 people, but its claims are frequently exaggerated.

“The attack at #WestgateMall is just a very tiny fraction of what Muslims in Somalia experience at the hands of Kenyan invaders,” al-Shabaab said. Another tweet said: “For long we have waged war against the Kenyans in our land, now it’s time to shift the battleground and take the war to their land #Westgate.”

They were nice about it though. They did their best to exempt Muslims.

The gunmen told hostages that non-Muslims would be targeted, said Elijah Kamau, who was at the mall at the time of the midday attack.

“The gunmen told Muslims to stand up and leave. They were safe, and non-Muslims would be targeted,” he said.

Thoughtful.

In my opinion “Kenyan Forces” should be fighting alongside paramilitary Maoist units waging “People’s War” on Al-Shabab. Maoist units catching Al-Shabab should execute them for the safety of the wider community.

Kenyan needs Socialist counter-terrorist units to put these people in their place, units that work under the table for a People’s Directorate representing various Soviets (worker councils).

I’m not sure if you’re trying to be funny or something, but either way that’s one of the stupidest things I’ve heard in a long time.

    RainbowSlushie,

I am not impressed by a chairborne warrior telling other people to kill each other.

Well the death toll in Kenya is now 59. And dozens of christian infidels have been massacred by two suicide bombers in a church in Pakistan. It has been a productive weekend for the self-styled religion of peace.

I still remember the BBC’s initial reaction when the Al-shabab first emerged several years ago. They had an article gushing over how much peace and security the islamist nutcases had brought into their community. No clue then. Not much of an improvement since.

The xtian churchgoers who get pelted with bags of urine by the dear old revolutionary islamists in Indonesia have been having it easy. Some twit from the BBC or the Guardian will probably be telling them so soon.

The media should stop saying that “so-and-so claimed responsibility” for heinous acts of destruction and murder. They should report that the group “admitted culpability” for destruction and murder.
