Dublin, last June

New from Atheist Ireland -

The Dublin Declaration on Secularism Empowering Women 2013

and the closing talk by Kate Smurthwaite, which I loved.

Just as a comment, the advertisement for the Dublin Conference, held last June, is still on the sidebar.

I’ve heard her tell the story about the Iranian woman before. Gave me goosebumps.

Is she still pushing her anti-sex work position or has that changed?

I like what she has to say but her marginalising of sex workers is not so good.

Concerning the sidebar, there are also links to the Film Festival (Sept 14) and the AAABoston2013 (Aug 30).
But I went ahead and took the census…

I enjoyed listening to Kate S. second time around. Her voice resonated throughout the whole conference hall on the day, and I was very impressed. Doubtless her training in comedy has taught her to project her voice to the back of venues.
