Another illustration of how privileged women are

And how they dominate and exploit men.

A man Afghan officials say is a member of the Taliban shot dead a woman accused of adultery in front of a crowd near Kabul, a video obtained by Reuters showed…

In the three-minute video, a turban-clad man approaches a woman kneeling in the dirt and shoots her five times at close range with an automatic rifle, to cheers of jubilation from the 150 or so men watching in a village in Parwan province.

“Allah warns us not to get close to adultery because it’s the wrong way,” another man says as the shooter gets closer to the woman. “It is the order of Allah that she be executed.”

Actually it turns out it wasn’t quite like that. Allah appears not to have ordered anything with this one.

[Provincial Governor Basir] Salangi said two Taliban commanders were sexually involved with the woman in Parwan, either through rape or romantically, and decided to torture her and then kill her to settle a dispute between the two of them.

Because the bitch was dominating and exploiting both of them. The bitch.

Well, by that excuse, I guess we’re fully justified in carpet bombing the whole country to dust. My invisible man friend told me so!

Funny how they never buy that reason when it comes from someone else, huh?

I wanted to make some sort of snide comment about “bitches being crazy” or something like that, but I can’t. I feel sick. When crowds of people cheer for executions, I remember just how easy it is to hate humans.

I think Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s grandmother might have been in the crowd under other circs. Not always only men, but people when the circumstances lead to it. Would a matriarchal society as ignorant as the Taliban be capable of the same thing? I would think so. But those men? Yeah, offensive as “men”. No offense taken! 🙂

And it’s shit like this that makes me utterly incapable of taking MRAs seriously. I mean, fuck. What?

Yes, Tom Hail, that’s what I like to do. Make up some hypothetical situation so I can include the victim’s group in the assaulters’ group. Grow a brain cell, please.

Those creatures who did this disgusting act are worse than viruses. They simply are NOT human,
    I feel absolutely sick

Exactly, Shlpane. Every so often I hear people say “What about discrimination against men?”

Which is like saying “But what about that paper cut of yours?” when you have a broken leg.

  8. says

    – Dude, you totally used my sex slave.
    – Oh man, I didn’t know she was yours. How do we fix this?
    – Let’s kill the bitch.
    – Yeah, that sounds fair. After all, she did commit adultery by being raped by someone she wasn’t married to.
    – Damn straight. She should just have followed the Quran.
    – Exactly. Hey, wanna catch a show downtown afterwards? I hear they’ve got some new dancing boys.

Any resemblance to real people or events is both intentional and infuriating.

Those creatures who did this disgusting act are worse than viruses. They simply are NOT human,

Yes, they are human. And we need to own that shit, not run from it. They ARE humans, Humans ARE capable of horrible things and yes, that does mean ALL humans.

We need to own that. because denying it, saying things like “they are monsters” “they are not human” is dehumanization. And there lies the path of atrocity.

Think about who else that statement gets applied to. While drawing absolutely no comparison between the groups, consider: Women aren’t humans – they’re fuck toys. Blacks aren’t human – they’re monkeys. Gays aren’t human – they’re perverts.

How long before someone feels justified in acting in the exact ways these men have done, having been told for so long that Group XYZ aren’t humans?

Which is like saying “But what about that paper cut of yours?” when you have a broken leg.

A friend of mine calls it Oppression Jealousy. And it takes one of two paths, in his estimation: 1) you try to emulate that group (think white kids dressing “black” or speaking “black”, as the stereotype defines “black”) or 2) pretend what you do experience is infinitely worse (i.e. MRAs, or reverse racists-screechers).

In terms of MRAs, imo, it’s rather more like “I’ll take you to the hospital to take care of your Stage IV leukemia, hemorraging gun shot wound, broken leg, amputated arm, and 107 degree temperature only after you kiss my paper cut boo-boo!”

@#4 I almost added (men in this case) after “people” in my earlier comment. I left it out because I wanted to convey a more general “humans cheering for murder is disgusting” sentiment.
