   My bad. The line-up is actually still pretty pasty.

   But 15 women out of 34 speakers seems an improvement.
   And there’s even a linguist!

   Nice lineup!

   Now if only TAM was actually affordable for normal people and held nearly anywhere but Vegas. I’ve never been there and I never want to go there. A Disneyland for adults where a completely irrational activity (gambling) is the big draw sounds like a secular version of hell to me.

   You can apply for a grant. It’s how I went last year–I couldn’t have afforded to go otherwise. The grant covers registration fees. Check out the jref forum. http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=232620
