It’s my annual excuse to post my favorite Darwin related image:

Unfortunately I don’t have time to write up a substantial Darwin-themed post… ironically because I’ve been working on a group presentation for my Philosophy of the Genome class on the eclipse of Darwinism and the following modern evolutionary synthesis.
Are any of you taking part in Darwin Day celebrations?

Unfortunately, every year Darwin Day rolls around, no one mentions it until the 13th (since I’m in Australia), so every year I forget about it.
Happily, though, I spent all of yesterday outside my aviary watching finches, not thinking any significance behind it at first … perhaps that’s enough.

It’s also Mardi Gras.
Remember to give-up something tomorrow.

Bad news, Mabus is back.
He’s posted 16 posts under his Disqus profile of “Dave Johnson”, Just saw him at Pandagon leaving this in Amanda Marcotte’s threads.

I celebrate Darwin Day every day of the year …. no need for a special one. If I’d feel the need for special days telling me what to believe in or how to act on that day I’d go religion …. ;->
