Dear random Church: Making a pun out of a phrase that’s meant to be offensive doesn’t automatically make you hip and clever. Especially when 7Up beat you to it 13 years ago.

Not just a bad pun – but a slight variation of a previously made (and much better) bad pun – “I’ve upped my (standards), so up yours” was a favorite slogan in many of Pat Paulsen’s presidential campaigns…
