Vote for Blag Hag for Best Religion Blog in the Bloggies!

Holy crap! My blog was nominated for the Best Religion Blog in the 2011 Weblog Awards! I didn’t even realize it until Hemant started smack talking me over twitter because Friendly Atheist was also nominated. I must defeat Hemant! Vote for me!

Though really, if Hemant won, I’d be happy too. I love his blog, and it would be awesome for an atheist blog to win the Religion category. It’s great that two are nominated.

Wait…that just means we’re going to split the atheist vote! Noooooo! Clever, Bloggies, very clever.

Love you, Jen, but that Norse mythology blog looks pretty interesting. ;)”Channeling Erik” is sad. Sad for their terrible loss, sad that it seems to have lead them to embrace woo – and set them up to be fleeced by charlatans.

I love both blogs. Who cares who wins? It’s just nice that people notice that atheists are people. [I voted for you… and I’d let you buy me a beer for it!]

You two should flip a coin or something to decide who should get the votes and then direct everyone to vote for the winner’s blog. At least if you want to make sure that an atheist blog wins the religion section.

Well, it must be nice to get some recognition like this that has nothing to do with your funbags, after your last post! Gosh, that got rather ridiculous, all managing to prove your point entirely. This at least demonstrates that you have some validity, regardless of your (lovely I’m sure) chest. Also, it IS pretty awesome that two atheism blogs got nominated in the religion section…

I just voted, after checking out the competition, and wanted to thank you for not making me listen to music while I read your blog! I am both excited and confused by the prospect that an atheist blog is going to win the religion category… as clearly, you or The Friendly Atheist have this in the bag.

heh. i actually DID vote for you, before i read this post. even if i don’t think it’s a “religious” blog, more a “making fun of religion & supporting atheism” blog. but ANY reason to support an atheist blog is a good one. : ]

I just noticed Watt’s Up With that has the Science nomination.Wouldn’t it be ironic if the people who are introducing truth get the religious vote, while the kooks get the Science vote?
