My interview at Radio Freethinker

In which I discuss women in skepticism (it’s a little less than half way in*).

I was a bit sleep deprived thanks to a long post-talk pub night the evening before, and the interview took place early morning sans coffee, so I don’t quite remember what I said. Something about ladies and skepticism and such.

A ringing endorsement, I know. Oh well, go listen! Thanks to Ethan and Chloe for having me be a part of the show.

*That’s what she said.**

**Aren’t I the best spokesperson for women?

“That’s what she said.”1) Is it actually possible to tell by internal sensation? I’d think it’d be easier to gauge visually and he’d usually have a better view…2) Well, yes, it is. ^.^

I’ve not listened (can’t right now), but this comment suddenly makes me think of one of the discussions associated with feminism that I’ve never been able to fully grasp. Not that I don’t see why it’s a question, but the evidence seems to be so conflicting. That question is, do women experience pleasure from/can they orgasm from penetrative sex. I’m not going to expound about it now, but it’s an interesting debate. No idea if it’s what’s being talked about, but it came to mind…

Haha, I was making a joke on Jen’s use of “that’s what she said” as a reply to “it’s a little less than half way in,” that’s all. In response to your question, I think it’s one of those things that’s generally varied within the community, because not all women can/do while others are able of doing so, and others don’t like penetration of any sort so yeah orgasm is unlikely in that situation. Ultimately a lot of those discussions boil down to “whatever you like, go for it,” which is dandy, I’d say.

Do you get tired of the attention paid to “the phenomena [sic] known as Boobquake”? I discovered your blog because of Atheist Barbie!
