Hooray lab work

*Minor Harry Potter 6th movie spoilers bellow*

Thanks Mark and Vanessa for standing in for me with a couple nice posts. I don’t thank you, however, for playing Rock Band in the other room while I must continue typing away. Sadness. I had to run to work for a bit to see if my DNA extractions were finished (they weren’t, sigh). No PCR dance was done, but the night is young and I haven’t yet reached my maximum caffeination level.

And if you want to know what working in the lab is like… For those of you who have seen the sixth movie, you know the first potion classroom scene? Where Hermione’s hair comically gets frizzier and frizzier from the fumes and stress (until it’s the level of frizziness it’s supposed to be according to the books)? Yeah, that pretty much happens to me all the time.

…Real post next update, sorry.

    Noooooooooo!!!!!

Now the sixth movie has been forever spoiled for me. Wait, they actually gave Emma Watson frizzy hair in this one? Damn.

Clearly, you should get a squirt gun and attack them when they are not expecting it!

I can't watch the Harry Potter movies unless somebody else is paying. Not in good conscience, especially after the fifth one blew so hard I thought I'd land in the concessions stand.

In retrospect, the fifth one is my favourite. I rather enjoyed the direction of it. But that doesn't mean it's good. In my opinion, Harry Potter should have been done with motion capture and voice actors in 3D in 10 years.

I still haven't seen the 6th movie, I suppose I'll have to go see it soon.

Anyways, good luck with the blogging, It's almost midnight here so I'm going to get some sleep, but I'll try and be up early to comment on some of the wee hours of the morning posts :)

Motion capture and 3D would've been a pretty awesome turn of it.

    Warm beer is warm.

Yeah, I know. I was just really, really hoping that they wouldn't rush production of the movies. And going CG and 3D gives you quite the time to work with.

I would have liked an animated version of the movies, myself. I think the live action movies limited them in what they were able to portray physically.

Go back and watch the first one. See how dated the CG is in it. It's not necessary.
