How badass? SO badass. Positively smoldering with sass, and while I totally love how much fun it looks like she and her modeling partner are having, especially in the one with both of them smiling, the last picture is hands down my favorite.

There are a lot of ways for women to be beautiful, and there is no reason plenty of fat women can’t be among that group.

Seriously! When I hear guys ragging on women’s bodies so much I sometimes think “Dude, are you actually straight?” Not that I’d care much if they weren’t. I have since learned that this criticism stems from a hatred of women. It’s a new way of playing “girls have cooties” that men over 20 can still play.

I was afraid this would come off as pandering as sexualized images of women often do. I was pleasantly mistaken. Jes has an active and powerful presence in these photos. I love the pairing of a not conventionally woman with a conventionally attractive man. We see the reverse in a lot of media: beauty and the beast, etc, but vary rarely this. This is a project well done!

Wonderful! Couldn’t help but notice that the motto on the seal of AZ is “Ditat Deus”, but it seems “Ditat Natura” fits the seal and “Ditat Saecularismo” fits the day much better.
