I’m going to be at the American Atheists Regional Conference in Saint Paul this weekend, so I can’t go camping, but maybe I’ll get a chance to see one or two meteorites meteors* early on Sunday morning. *sigh* Of course, seeing stars the morning after a pub crawl might be the result of a less than celestial cause.

I’ll be leaving Los Angeles for a dark viewing spot.
You mean meteor, not meteorite, Brianne. A meteorite is a meteor that’s hit the ground.

Sassafrassing’frigin’dang&*#$ – I checked that before publishing because I have a hard time remembering the difference. I didn’t check it very well, obviously. Is it just me poorly interpreting this Wikipedia entry for “shooting star” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_Star), or is the entry actually wrong? (If I had looked up “meteorite” in Wikipedia I would have gotten it right).
Thanks for the correction.
