Cross-Country Connections is a Biodork weekly blog entry dedicated to telling stories in pictures of three family members – me, my sister and Mom – living in very different locations across the country. Every week we choose a different theme and then take or contribute a personal photo that fits the theme. This week’s theme is Fun.
From Mom in Carbondale, Illinois:
Vegas, baby! Posing for the paparazzi by the Monte Carlo pools.
From me in Minneapolis, Minnesota:
This photo was taken at a Minnesota Red Dress event, inspired by The Bloggess. I was the photographer for this event, but they managed to cajole me into a picture near the end of the shoot! BTW – Jenny Lawson will be in town this Friday for a rare reading for her book Let’s Pretend This Never Happened.
From Erin in Bellingham, Washington:
About a month ago, on the hottest day of the year in Bellingham (by which I mean it hit 78), we drove up to Mt. Baker wearing shorts and short sleeves. There were snow walls 9 feet high and all the ground was covered in snow but it was still warm. It was a fantastically surreal moment of hiking through snow and wiping sweat off our brows.
