Support the Work that I Do on Patreon

I’ve got some bad news and some good news.

The bad news is due to scheduling conflicts, I’m no longer at my day job.

The good news is since then I’ve been keeping myself busy with freelance writing. I have an article coming up in Everday Feminism, I’m back to writing for The Humanist, and my friend just offered me a job as a regular contributor to Bitopia.

Now here’s where you come in:

Starting this week I’ll be charging patrons for both my articles at my podcasts.

Here’s how it works: one week I’ll charge patrons for an article for Bitopia, a new blog post, and a new episode of Bi Any Means. The next week I’ll charge patrons for my latest Bitopia article, the newest episode of Bi Any Means, and the newest episode of Biskeptical.

So basically you can now support me for as little as $3 a week.

For those of you who already support me on Patreon, I know some pay either $5 or $10 per post, so if you need to adjust your contribution, I understand.

For everyone else, just go to my Patreon page.

Thank you all for your support!

Rest in peace, Niki

I first heard of Niki Massey when The Orbit launched earlier this year. I found her blog, and immediately fell in love. She was smart, she was funny, and she had a major DGAF attitude. I knew I eventually wanted to interview her for the Bi Any Means podcast, and I did this past August. She was just as smart and funny as her blog. It still remains one of my favorite episodes.

I just found out she died today.

I don’t really know what to say. I keep thinking, “But we just had a video chat on Skype back in August!”

The world lost an amazing person today. We’ll all miss her.

I’m Back!

Yes, folks, Bi Any Means is back! I don’t want to rehash the incident that led to my three-week hiatus (you can read about it here), but I realized it was time to take a breather and do some serious introspection. Now I feel ready to get back into the game.

With that, here are a few changes to Bi Any Means:

  1. All comments must be manually approved by me first. I used to have a laissez-faire approach to my comment section: If you have a bullshit argument, it’s your job to prove me wrong, and if you can’t, the egg is on your face, not mine. However, with the MRAs running amok in the now infamous “toxic” feminists post, I’ve decided it’s best to read all comments first before deciding whether or not I want to give you some platform. And no, it’s not a violation of your free speech rights because, as I previously mentioned, I’m not the government.

  1. Abear is forever banned from the comment section. I thought he was just a regular person with some bad ideas that I could hopefully debunk, but I recently found out he’s from the Slymepit, so fuck him!

  1. The Bi Any Means podcast is still happening, but I’m not sure about the Biskeptical podcast yet. I want to use podcasting as a way to give a platform to others rather than just tell everybody what I think, so I was thinking about ending the Biskeptical podcast. However, a few friends told me I should keep doing it, so who knows?

I had a nice three-week vacation, and now it’s time to get back to work.
