Hi folks, Russell here. This Saturday I’ll be joining Jason “Lousy Canuck” Thibeault, JT Eberhard, as well as lots of other awesome Freethought Bloggers and various unbelievers for a portion of the 24 hour “gameathon” for charity. We’ll be broadcasting a live stream of us geeks playing single and multiplayer on a bunch of classic game selections from arcade history, Nintendo, and Sega. Ninja Turtles, Street Fighter, that sort of thing. It’s gonna be awesome!
Check out Jason’s blog for details on how you can tune in while it’s live.

It’s a live webcast. There is no “there” for anybody to be, it’s all happening over Skype with video cameras and such. Tune in when it’s live and you’ll be just as much “there” as I will.

Not only is it a live webcast, but the feed streams will be available afterward and probably indefinitely (unless Twitch decides to drop them later).

Choose your turtles early. I don’t want to listen to any fighting over who gets to be Leonardo.

Godless Gamers — a former weekly social event hosted by the ACA — hasn’t had any meetings for several years. This event I’m talking about has nothing to do with that. Did you read the post?

Too bad you’re not doing an online gamer event where fans could also play and mingle virtually with the hosts.

[...] Russell’s already excited. I know for sure he’ll be there. Though, I have a few people who expressed interest who hasn’t actually gotten back to me with a definitive time yet. I hate leaving scheduling to the last second, so I’m about to go bother them by email now. [...]
