Seems legit

This one’s making the rounds on Facebook today. You know, if the Creation Museum didn’t exist, life would lack so very many lovely lovely lulz.

Many “Living Fossils” such as crocodiles once shared the same world as dinosaurs. Since spaceships continue to exist with crocodiles today, it is reasonable to believe that spaceships also shared the same world with dinosaurs.
(If just wishing could make something true…)

So really this proves you live at anytime in history that you want. Since your great grandfather lived at the same time as your mother then you lived at the same time as your great grandfather. Now just copy paste it back a few generations and you prove that you lived in 1776.

    wow. just.. wow.

    This means… (scribble scribble)…

    I am Kevin Bacon.

Wait, is this supposed to prove that dinosaurs are still here?

And if living fossils came from dead ones, is that whole “rising from the dead” such a big thing? Also pygmies+dwarfs.

Actually, dinosaurs are still here; they’re called birds.

And since crocodiles don’t eat people, and in fact allow humans to ride on their backs and use their teeth to style the blond curls of white Anglican christian babies, it is also reasonable to assume we would have had a similarly harmonious relationship with their big boned cousins.

    Digital photographs never lie. Atheist=smert.

it does seem ridiculous, but with enough exposure to these creationist’s nonsense, it all kinda looks the same.

      “Biological systems leave little to
chance—genetic information is precisely encoded in the DNA.”[!]

they are perfectly capable of blatant non-sequiters, straw men, the works.

Many things, such as water, once shared the same world as a pre-life Earth. Since humans continue to exist with water today, it is reasonable to believe that humans also shared the world with a pre-life Earth.

Especially when you factor in the possibility that humans cannon-balling into water might create a reverse homeopathic succussion wave that imbued pre-life water with the future “memory” of humanity. Its quite possible* when you think of it in those terms.

      *not really.

        You borked my brain.

I’d just like to point out to any unfortunate folks who go to Creation Museum and see this nonsense that they could drive a little closer to Cincinnati and visit the Newport Aquarium. There they can meet Big Mike, the largest alligator on display outside of Florida. And you might learn something.

And don’t forget the Natural History Museum at Union Terminal in Cincinnati (with actually history and not creationist make believe history).

I live with my dad. He used to use an Apple II GS. Therefore it is reasonable to assume I use an Apple II GS.

    Wow, this is textbook fallacy.

    Hoax? I think so.

The Creation Museum a hoax? No, not in the sense that there actually is a Creation Museum operating in Petersburg, Kentucky.

Or were you thinking of every other possible interpretation of the word “hoax?”

      1. roggg

Sorry Tim…I was speculating that the photo had been edited to make creationists look dumber than they actually are. The text of it is pretty much what a Poe would write to satirize the creation museum.

Look at the rest of the crap from the creation museum. These guys *are* morons. This is by no means beyond them.

Oh, fun! By repeated transitive properties, all creatures have shared the same world with all other creatures! Why not? 6000 years is not long at all in evolutionary terms.

This is such staggeringly failed logic I have trouble fitting it into the standard logical fallacy categories. I’ll give them full marks for creativity at least.

I wonder if they should win a Nobel for discovering startling new logical fallacies.

If fossils of both dinosaurs and crocodiles are found to be the same age (A), then dinosaurs and crocodiles existed at the same time (B).

If A then B, A therefore B. So far so good. Simplest logical equation in the book. Oh wait, hold on, we have another statement here…. “dinosaurs and humans existed at the same time”- we’ll call that C.

If A then B, A therefore B. B therefore… C? Ouch. Headfirst into a total logic disconnect. Might want to get that looked at by a professional.

      comically bad.

And when did the gaters live with dinos???
They did not as I remember from school the gater ‘ancestors lived with dinos and were VERY large compared to today’s gaters. So the 1st line starts out wrong and then gets worse!

I entered the bulk of the text in the pic into Google…. and drowned in a sea of dumb. Apparently, there is no indication that Beowulf and Grendel are at all mythical.

      P.S. – Grendel was a T Rex……

Therefore the dinosaurs are alive today! Just liek crocodiles and humans! They had a pope in the jurassic tiems!

    1. 17.1
      Crimbly

Wait a minute – the pope IS a dinosaur.

So if alligators lived during the dinosaurs and now live with humans, and the pope is a dinosaur, then alligators have lived with dinosaurs twice.

That must therefore explain why there are more alligators than dinosaurs these days.

      Herp.

Why not take it to the next logical level:

If humans shared the world with dinosaurs in the past then it is reasonable to assume that dinosaurs continue to share the world with humans today.

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet but The world’s dumbest atheist is now the worlds moderately intelligent christian.

I seem to recall the last ep of non prophets had matt and shilling predict exactly this would happen.

    Google “Jake the alligator man”.

Proof positive we came from alligators! (What the hell? He has a facebook page also, lol.)
