Hope you’ll forgive posting this personal stuff here — Matt already did. I promised I’d supply media from the event, and here it is! I’m posting here instead of my main blog because half the guests were ACA friends, thanks for coming.
We knew early on that we wanted to have a not-so-serious wedding, and we quickly settled on theming it after a certain movie series we’ve both loved for a long time. We rented out the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater and screened Back to the Future 3, followed by this.
Video!
Pictures!
Script! (Contains links to audio cuts as well as the PowerPoint file we used to project “credits” on screen, just click them when they appear.)

Post-apocalyptic mutants, gun-toting ruffians – now that’s a wedding! Creative and hilarious. Looks like it was a lot of fun… congrats to you both.

Well, at least it wasn’t Weekend at Bernies or TMNT – The Movie. I never did like BttF much. I guess I have no room to talk, though. I had Han and Leia on top of my cake and my brother’s recent matrimony included an awesome Planet Express cake.
Congrats, all.

“shooting fish in a box”.
That really made me smile.
Now I’ll make like a tree, and get out of here.

Thanks so much! It was a lot of fun getting it made, and I really enjoyed being able to wear it.

Hahah! This is great! Congratulations! That last picture though, I can’t help but feel that Russell’s crotch dominates the scene. DOMINATES!

Russel, nobody cares about your personal life. Look at the number of comments these kinds of posts get compared to others. Keep this shit on your Facebook.

Rob, thanks for such a productive, useful and in-no-way pathetic message. I’m really glad that you decided to share your personal thoughts here…we’ll be sure to include more content that you don’t like, just so you’ll have something to bitch about. I know how cathartic that can be for those with little better to do.

Hey Matt, same goes to you! It seems you bring up your wife every chance you get on the AE nowadays! You sound like some nerd who’s never had a girlfriend in his life, and so now that you have one you have to show her off to the world!
It’s really just making you and AE look narcissistic and pathetic. Keep the personal, lovey dovey stuff on Facebook or your own personal blogs.

I hope it was satisfying to get that out of your system, since it’s your last comment on this blog. Now fuck off, troll.

Please tell me that Lynnea didn’t change into some boring white dress for the reception and that the purple dress WAS the actual wedding dress, because it totally kicks ass! Not having been born here, I’ve never understood the Western preference for white wedding attire: white simply can’t convey joy the way bright colors can, in my opinion. As an Asian, I can’t help but commend Lynnea on her decision to wear purple.

No change, that was the wedding dress. Who cares about white, we just wanted to follow the rule of cool.

Love it, this is an awesome idea and I think you pulled off the costumes perfectly. I’ve never seen Lynnea until this video – only heard her voice on the NP radio show – but she looks great and I love the theme :p
Congrats to you both!

Wow. The vows were just phenomenal. You guys look like you had a ton of fun. Congratulations to you both, and thank you for sharing something so personal with the readers. I only discovered the show recently and the blog this morning, and this was a pleasant surprise.

I usually refrain from commenting on people’s looks in posts, but I’m simply blown away by how stunningly beautiful Lynnea is. Congrats to you both!
