Lot more intrusive ads on this site, it seems. I especially liked the ChristianMingle.com one.

I think it actually takes more time and effort to complain about ads than it would to solve the issue. I haven’t seen an ad for years.

I must confess it’s fun to have Christian ads here. Don’t they know they’re just providing us with material?

Congrats on the move.
I pulled site site up to update my RSS feed and the first thing on the page that loaded was an ad for “Revolt! Magical Scam Water”. Since atheism and skepticism go hand in hand I was very surprised to see an “invention that heals water” and “pulls floride and heavy metals” out of my body. I think you need to review with your host where they’re getting their ad feed from.

The hosts are aware, and it’s something being worked on. The site is still be hammered out.

For all those complaining about the ads, Ed Brayton wrote a post about it that I just spent an hour looking for, but it’s been deleted (possibly because by telling us that they get paid for click-throughs, he was breaking some kind of rule?). Basically, they don’t have control over what ads they get (they’re based on a combo of keywords for the page you’re on–which means there’s no discrimination between positive and negative posts about a subject–and your own browsing history), and because the site cost so much to start up, they can’t afford to just wait until they can get specific advertisers to sign on. Hopefully the ads will improve over time.

One thing I liked about the old site was the mobile friendly template. I understand that this site is ad driven, but is there any possibility of mobile blasphemy?

Good question. I’m checking with the other bloggers to see whether that can be done.

You don’t. Go to their website and you’ll find links to ustream and channel Austin to watch the show live, or their own archive of past shows. I, too, am in the U.K.

I sometimes post links to You Tube clips of yours on the secular discussion board I helped found.
Most recently earlier today, as it happens.

Hot damn!
I really need to check the front page of FTB more often.
Gave the blog a thumb up in Stumbleupon and was surprised to find that no one had submitted yet. Here’s hoping it’ll drive your traffic up a notch.
I’m really glad you folks are here!
