Am I being Coulter-ish in wishing the VT gunman could have descended upon Westboro Baptist Church instead?

Right you are, anon. But there are times when you can’t not stand up and say, “This is evil and we will not tolerate it!”

The more I see, hear and read about this vicious scumbag, the more I detest him and his ilk.

“Am I being Coulter-ish in wishing the VT gunman could have descended upon Westboro Baptist Church instead?”Yeah, kind of. But who would take up the charge and protest their funerals? Not I.The link seems to be down, by the way.I actually saw one of Westboro’s protests once. It was in Baltimore over one of the art schools having a play about that gay kid (I’m embarrassed to have forgotten his name when my uncle knows his mother) who was beaten and killed by two guys who offered him a ride. I already knew all about Westboro and what they do but it doesn’t prepare you for how surreal it is to see it in person, on your own city streets. What blew my mind was that when they saw me taking pictures they’d grin and turn towards me to give me a better shot of their horrific signs. I guess I’m too sheltered by living on a coast. We’re kind of an island of blue in an ocean of blue up here… next to a real ocean; also blue.

I’m just grateful that I don’t live in a world so full of hatred and disdain for everyone and everything around me. What a paranoid and unhappy existence that must be. And how unfortunate that he and his clan are legally allowed to infect their children with this venom and make so many others so uncomfortable in such vulgar and dysfunctional displays.

Link worked okay for me just now. They may have just been getting too much traffic before.

Yes, thank you xiangtao, it was Matthew Shepard. And the link did work once I tried it from home. Sorry about that.So Freddy thinks God do this but Fox News thinks it might be Satan! Which is it? Those are clearly the only two plausible explanations.http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,266860,00.htmlI posted it in another thread as well. Sorry for the redundancy.”Well you know there ain’t no devil that’s just God when he’s drunk.” ~Tom Waits
