Woot, I just landed and holy deity on a stick is it humid! But you can relax now, AA is at the party.

Why The Blaze’s story makes me sad.
“However, if genuine, these Tweets may give us more insight into Martin’s enigmatic life and character.”
That last sentence from this article at The Blaze troubled me. The article is expressly about how Trayvon Martin had a twitter account and that some of his tweets appear juvenile (because he was a kid, after all) . The intent of the article is clear in my mind, it has that faint whiff of racism. What I take issue with is that many people say dumb stuff over social media, use it for dick jokes, or post obscene content; regardless of race. Yet the tweets cited by The Blaze mostly point towards a well known stereotype.
There is nothing enigmatic about a teenage boy’s social media hangouts, kids are kids. I believe the Blaze is just trying to impart a bit of bias into its readership. The most important thing about the Social Media habits of Trayvon Martin is that they have absolutely no bearing on this case. Unless Trayvon was explicitly threatening violence against Zimmerman and Zimmerman was aware, which did not happen. What were are left with is a picture of a youth expressing many of the styles of the culture he was immersed in and who might have also smoked Pot, but then again so did the President and the world’s best Olympian. His tweets serve no purpose in this case, more so because The Blaze itself has (at times) been calling on this case to be handled through legal challenges only.

American is a Christian Nation!
While Dennis Terry is a “respected” voice amongst Rick Santorum’s conservative base, it probably was a bad idea to have a recordable media device at any event where both men should meet. Thankfully there was and hilarity has ensued.
Dennis Terry delivered a heartwarming introduction of Mr. Santorum:

Anonymous unveils its own OS.
As a person who heavily mods his Operating System, I am not too thrilled about the new AnonOS. Created as a platform to enhance privacy and piracy protections, aid in cyber attacks, and veil internet traffic through the now crack-able TOR networks; this OS seems to be geared to your average /b/tard who still can’t triforce and who’s power level is nowhere near 9,000.
This OS is infinitely hack-able and some Anon actors have been known to release products into the community that can turn PCs into slaves. Usually these attempts are a sort of “level check”, ensuring that user has enough skill to avoid the malicious code, and thus prove their skill level in the community, or is blissfully unaware that someone has just recruited their computer.

A douchebag does something horrible.
Now the Army sits back nervously to see what kind of blowback this will earn us from the locals.

Jesus’ irrefutable role in the final frontier.
First and foremost, WorldNutDaily is linking to an article in slate where the author has made the logical conclusion that John Carter is a VERY Christian movie, because fighting aliens is clearly a Christian allegory. The movie does seem to pick up on a few points of the Christ myth…as it does the Osiris myth… and dozens of other deity stories.
Secondly, the story about the unfair religious persecution of David Coppage made it onto POTUS this morning. Coppage, as you might recall, was fired from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Coppage claims that the reason for his pink slip was that he supported Intelligent Design. The “Discovery” institute is hoping that this case will go beyond the actual issue of employment and slides into an argument about ID, let’s hope it does not.

Critically Acclaimed Mass Effect 3 sees its Metacritic score tanked by Homophobes.
Many of us in the gaming community see the expanding roles of video games and their impact on popular culture. The gaming industry is, capital wise, as big as the movie industry. With the greater amount of investment cash poured into gaming, I feel that better products are being created to reach a more diverse audience. Videogames are fast becoming much more that mindless diversions; they are becoming art and excellent story telling vehicles.

Today I got my leave approved for heading to Ft. Bragg for the wondrous, free, and open to public event that is Rock Beyond Belief. Ed, you owe me beers (for no particular reason) and Justin owes me absolutely nothing (never take from Soldiers). But if one of you can get Richard Dawkins (and anyone else who can put marker to cloth) to sign one of my Squadron T-Shirts, my fellow godless officers who can’t attend are planning on getting it framed and hung in our Operations office.

Somehow Rush blames Liberals for his liable of Sandra Fluke.
When I am going out for lunch I normally tune into AM talk radio so I can soak up how those on other side of the political spectrum view issues. I caught Rush on day two of the Sandra Fluke story. He was venomous in his relentless and wall-to-wall attacks and I began to wonder why he was spending so much time on the issue. Clearly, he is not obsessed with lady parts. In my opinion, Rush’s actions significantly impacted the Republican position in the contraception debate, and not positively.
In America, the Religious freedom position is politically tenable although a position of last resort. Remember that in the end days of Slavery and Jim Crow the Religious Freedom argument was brought forth and even today the tactic is used in defense of in-defendable Intelligent Design, among other issues. The Republicans might have held the debate if they stayed on target with the RF position despite the Democrat’s protests. That is, of course, Rush started to talk about Sandra Fluke.
