Christmas is for Everyone, Except for Obama

Right Wing attacks President Obama for relatively modest holiday vacation.

Presidential holiday vacations are usually both uninteresting and long. Bush and Regan both routinely took 20 or more days of vacation during the holiday season, which is more than most people get, but less than others. For example, I get 30 days this year (Woohooo me). But it seems that the right and FOX can’t help themselves from turning anything, even the most mundane, into a barbed spear to hurl at Obama. But why Obama’s Christmas vacation? Because the President had the audacity, the sheer nerve, to take 17 days off in Hawaii; and the right is crying at the top of their lungs.

I hate stories like this, dumb, petty, and pointless. Their only goal is to persuade their audience to have a slightly lower opinion of the President for the upcoming election though pointless issues; all the while maintaining a façade of fairness and screaming that every other type of media outlet is guilty of the same act they commit daily. I am only surprised that Fox and company never seem to run out of glass walls or stones to throw.

30 days? Let me know when you’ll be where. My parents want to see you too.

It’s almost as though, *gasp*, the president might have been born in, and spent many of his young adult years in, Hawaii.

Shorter: IOKIYAR. Or maybe we can have a new variant: IOKIYNO*.

    *Not Obama, of course.

I’d wager that if he’d taken a much shorter break, they’d yammer on about he showed insufficient respect for the holiday or some such nonsense.

What would the teabag party think of Canadians in Hawaii for two weeks over the saturnalia break? Probably give them a ticket to Gitmo.

No no, Fox News has got it right for once on this issue: Minorities in normal work-a-day jobs get less vacation time on average; why should the position of POTUS be any different?

This horrible Muslim Atheist who never mentions God (except for all the times he does) must stop taking such long vacations which are shorter than several of his predecessors’.

Think you can get to Occupy Houston for the 12/12 direct action? If you wanna do something, this is the day. We need people with large pickup trucks. I can’t say why on this blog. There may be a bus load coming in from Occupy Austin.

    This is the day.
