Huzzah! Welcome home! If you’re ever in the Seattle area, look me up so I can buy you a beer. Yes, just one. But it’ll be huge.

I don’t comment on your threads lately, but you are actually my primary source of on-the-ground views overseas. I’m very glad to see that you have returned safe & look forward to reading more of your commentary when you have time.

Welcome back.
I only did one tour some 15 years ago, but I remember how strange it was to come back. I made a fool of myself running around the pier in excitement after I found a blue M&M in my bag. I thought I had won something. Military news really needs to watch those details. I also left when military over 18 was allowed to drink on base, and when I came back at 20yo, I was no longer allowed to.

Welcome home. Glad you are back safe and sound. I have truly appreciated your posts on military life in Iraq, they served as a tiny window into what things are like. Happy holidays.
