In your list of intentions for the coming year you wrote
“World Cup. Experience this one and figure out how to attend the Women’s World Cup in Canada in 2015.”

I can offer you a place to stay during the 2015 World Cup for matches held in Vancouver. Our house is near the Univeristy of British Columbia. My wife, and two teenage daughters, would be pleased to have an interesting guest. We often rent a room to university students but not during the summer months so it should be available. The cost would be reasonable – occasional scintillating conversations!

If you really need a place, just email me early in 2015 and we can probably set things up.

    Dear Ashley,

I think this is up your alley. The Atheist Christmas Coloring Book

Christmas for Atheists? Atheists for Christmas? Yes!

Back in 2010, I shared my first free edition of The Atheist Christmas Coloring Book. The labor of love celebrated the joy, sharing, and caring of the Winter holidays, in a whimsical format, through a secular lens. The intended audience was friends and family, but the media response exposed many people to the message of Reason for the Season.

Today, I have updated that first edition with a brand new Atheist Christmas Coloring Book. Gone are the clipart and doodled images, replaced with professional illustrations. Plenty of fantastic mythological creatures to color like elves, flying reindeer, and even the fearsome Krampus. The book is still free to download, but is also available in a printed edition on Amazon to gift and share. The website AtheistChristmas.org has the PDF to download and print, and also the link to Amazon to order the printed version.

Since the dawn of time humans have celebrated the Winter solstice as a time of cheer and goodwill. No matter what you call it, Xmas, Yule, Saturnalia, or Hanukkah, the roots of Christmas are more widespread, and more universal than an individual’s birthday. Secular, agnostic, and atheist families can also share traditions, gifts, love, peace, and joy during the darkest days of the year. That is why I created and share The Atheist Christmas Coloring Book.

Please check out the coloring book for yourself and consider sharing it on your blog or social media. I’d love to talk with you about it if you like. I am an atheist, raising a freethinking family, who all love Christmas for the right reasons. There are many non-believers who enjoy the Merry without the Myths, and The Atheist Christmas Coloring Book is a fun and creative way to share the joy with skeptics of all ages.

    Regards,
    Rick Marazzani
