And here’s Nikki Haley’s Facebook message that earned her such censure:
veto of SC Coalition of Domestic Violence $453,680. Special interests made their way into the DHEC budget. This is not about the merit of their fights but the back door way of getting the money. It’s wrong and another loophole for legislators and special interests to use.
If there’s a veto message that needs to be overridden, it is THIS one! ~Senator Knotts

If there are people in this state that need assistance, it’s the victims of rape and sexual assault. It’s money well spent. ~Senator Knotts

You need to spend a little less time on Facebook, and a little more time being a stateswoman.” – Senator Lourie

“Governor Haley had the audacity to call victims a special interest group. I am embarassed.” Senator Joel Lourie

How do you go about getting a recall process created?

Kudos to you, Ashley, for your outreach efforts to publicize this and encourage the override.

One question: Do I understand correctly that all of the deranged right-wing fuckeuppe legislators voted to override the veto except for the two assholes you highlight above?

Anyone in the House and Senate with any political savvy at all, who didn’t want to override the veto abstained. These two yutzes have no ambitions, or think that this will never be political fodder for their opponents.

Heh… I got to watch Senator Lourie tell Nikki to put down the FB and start worrying about managing the state.

Looks like the worst one’s being able to play their cards may have been for the best here, because it seems they are having their asses handed to them and the right vote was made. There may be a bit of argument from consequences there, but these people are who they are, and were in office. And I’m not arguing that there should be people like this. Um, in office.
