This was sent in by a reader for me to cover and in light of the gay marriage debate in the USA, I figured I should weigh in. This comes in from Life in the Liturgy which is a blog written by Samuel Stanton who appears to be either a priest or a priest to …

Loss of Fear
Ah yes! It’s been a while since I did something atheist and this one is from the Christian Post and Uri Brito doesn’t seem to understand atheism and indeed “education”. He seems to think that we have lost our fear of religion. That’s true, it’s also that we have gotten more organised and been more …

A Response to Rationalthinker
Rationalthinker has come to dispute my stance on Fox News Atheism Post. And so I have a proper response both here and in the comments to his latest post.

Faux News – Atheism Cannot Be Religion
This is well known enough that Johnnie Moore (A Liberty University Professor) should know about it considering this conundrum can be solved by a quick “google”. For a theist there’s nothing quite like watching an atheist get an intellectual walloping from a preacher. There’s just something apocalyptic about it, and it most easily occurs when the …

Reddit, College Basketball and Religion
It sounds bizarre to be commenting on a idea so far outside my monkey sphere that I am genuinely lost and puzzled. I like “Sports Clubs”. Dear Russia
I got a hold of Dr. Lively (Doctor of Theology)’s letter to Russia cooing about how it was responsible for the frankly terrifying anti-gay propaganda law. Basically? It’s a law that cannot be repealed since the law protects itself from being repealed since any attempts to change it are by nature Pro-Gay.

Atheists Don’t Need Religion
Kelly Boggs from Baptist Press thinks we need religion. She seems to have gotten hold of Alain de Botton’s work and is flogging it for all it’s worth without really realising that his work is inherently faulty on some aspects.

Faith, Abortion and the Hippocratic Oath – Mississippi
Mississippi has not much to be proud of. It’s the state that leads the US rankings in teenage pregnancy rate due to a juxtaposition of faith, economics and social issues. It’s a state proud of it’s “Christian Morals” and it shows. In April 2012, there was only a single abortion provider. The Jackson Women’s Health …

A Beehive Of Erotic Exploration – Fear Mongering About the Scouts
Now that I have your attention… This is a perfectly safe for work article. Except for the title. We all know why you clicked here. It’s to satiate your sordid bee lust. And yes I am not above sinking to sexing up my boring articles with pictures of titilation. Want more? Well then you just …
