Atheists Don’t Owe Social Justice a Damn Thing

No. I don’t believe this. I am quite involved in social justice and am a very hands on person with regards to that, but this piece piqued my “interest”.

Long story short? Battle Lines were drawn up between two groups of people. One who think atheism is just about having no gods and the other who point out that there exist theological structures that permeate our society that cause discrimination that even we take for granted and that perhaps we should realise some uncomfortable truths about the society we live in and that includes the people who make up atheism.

Some atheists are involved in issues of politics, science and society.

Cyclone

A few people have asked me about whether or not I am involved in the cyclone said to make landfall in a few hours.

Firstly? I am expected to have heavy rain. The Cyclone hits mainly to the North.

Secondly? I am in Tamil Nadu, the Cyclone is set to hit Andhra Pradesh and Orissa which are to the North of here. I should be fine. Thank you for all the concern! I may go take photos of stuff in the rain though.

The Christian Times is trying to engage us and these are some points made by Professor John Lennox out at the London Evangelists’ Conference.

You don’t have to read hundreds of books before you can discuss your faith with an atheist. Sometimes claims and questions that are just short soundbites can be answered just as quickly.
