Feedback

So it’s been a year of blogging at FTB and I wanted to see if there is any feedback from the readers of things you liked, things you didn’t like and things that could do with an improving.

So post your comments here!

It amazes me that a full-time medical student can write such long posts so regularly. Thank you.

I’ve enjoyed everything you’ve written. I especially like your posts about your work, but I also appreciate your personal story. I read many of you gaming posts for the social aspects, as I don’t do gaming.

Over the past year you’ve presented yourself as an intelligent, caring person who is willing to share his life with the rest of the world. I look forward to the years ahead.

And I really like Hera. More Hera!

Thanks for all your time and your efforts,

    Stella

This is one of the few FTB-pages I enjoy reading. Thanks for the many, long, informative posts.
Hopefully you can and will continue this blog. Lots of luck for you and Hera in 2014.

I read you every day, even though I rarely comment.
Keep up all your good work.
    Thank you.

Your blog has become one of my favorites on FTB. I honestly can’t think of anything I’d like you to change. Maybe I’ll come up with something later.

Your blog is easily my favourite here, and I just love the variety you cover. Not only the variety in subject, from gaming to medicine to relationships, but also the variety in length & detail, from your long, highly specialised posts to your short, brief overviews.
My only criticism really is when you’re doing a long response to someone else, and breaking everything up into tiny quotes, you can be quite repetitive with your remarks, although I understand writing it is a catharsis for you. Anyway, it’s a very good blog and I’ve enjoyed it immensely.

I was hooked the moment I started reading a few months ago. Maybe you could dial down the awesomeness a little. You’re making me feel inadequate. Then again… what doesn’t?

Anyways… I guess you shouldn’t change a thing. Except for maybe the robberies. Yeah — try to go robbed less this upcoming year. I apologize if it’s too soon to make a joke like that.

Oh wait! I found some better feedback from a spam bot on the previous blog post:

This design is spectacular! You most certainly know how to keep a reader
amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my
own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job.
I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
    Too cool!

I basically never comment, but I read all of your posts (via a reader), and I really like your writing. As a fellow gamer, your recent posts on racism in LoL stood out to me — positively, I mean, though I know you got a lot of kickback from racists/racist gamers over them. No real feedback beyond “keep writing; I’ll keep reading and linking things to my friends”.

I try to read your blog every day. Excellent writing, moving stories, if you ever decided to give up medicine there are many authors that would decide to give up writing after reading one of you works.

You do good things in the world. I respect you for that. Don’t ever change!

I’ve enjoyed your blog and respect your views Avicenna – thanks.

I would really like to see your thoughts and responses on what I wrote on this thread though if I may please? :

Regardless of that; I will say a few things though – I like your blogging and comment policy here and think you are a very reasonable and admirable person with a lot of good things to say. You have my respect and appreciation and I wish you all the best – happy solstice and seasonal festivities! :-)
