Destroying the Sanctity Of Marriage

You know when Christians say that gay marriage destroys marriage?

I missed the part where gay men and women were disrupting straight weddings. The first gay wedding in Newark was disrupted by a man who stood up after objections and yelled that to the guests.

So I have to ask, who’s more disruptive to the sanctity of marriage? Us or them?

Sorry; I think I gave them the idea:

You really got to be a special kind of asshole with no respect for people at all to do such a thing.
My best wishes for the happy couple, they sound awesome

If God wants to object He is free to do so.

Since there are no objections we will proceed.

  4. 4

God will object of course. He will send tornadoes to Kansas or hurricanes to Florida. These will be directly related to Newark’s respect for equality.

    Kansas and Florida?

I’d be more worried in Uruguay or Latvia. This presumed big guy’s aim is seriously off.

  6. 6

Ah, true but the bigots rarely care about aim that bad. They need American disasters to get really worked up. And get more money.

I really dislike the term ‘sanctify of marriage.’ For most of its history, marriage was a property exchange which puts it somewhere between overt slavery and form or legalized prostitution, so where’s all this ‘sanctity?’

All said, I wish the Xtians could just realize this is bad manners.

They’re more interested in being sanctimonious than showing sanctity.

Marriage is as much a human invention as are “gods”. It shouldn’t enjoy any special status in society.

Very interesting, I just watched the covering by the Daily Show and they cut that scene out.
Apparently they thought that the asshole didn’t deserve any attention
