    I can’t find the item, but I read on one gaming site how some companies alter the appearance of characters for the destined markets, but only for predominantly caucasian or Asian markets. I don’t know and don’t recall if characters were altered for African or Latin American markets.

    This Kotaku article below is not the one I remember, and is about a different aspect of the issue.

    Computer game characters may be easier to alter than replacing actors, just change a few lines of code. But the characters intended to look “realistic” almost never do. They often don’t even look human.
