Blog of the Year Almost Diamonds
Stephanie Zvan makes her voice heard through her blog Almost Diamonds. Her writing is consistently incredible: insightful, thorough, on point, and funny (when appropriate). Everything she writes is from an atheist, secular, intersectional feminist, and social justice perspective. This year has certainly been a busy one for social justice in the secular community. Stephanie’s posts tackle issues from multiple perspectives deconstructing and analyzing varied subject matter; her methodological and precise writing is educational, informative, and engaging.
I’m tickled, particularly to be in the company I am in the Secular Woman Membership Awards. I don’t know what to say, except thank you to everyone who thought I earned this.
Stephanie Zvan is one of the hosts for the Minnesota Atheists' radio show and podcast, Atheists Talk. She serves on the board of Secular Woman. She speaks on science and skepticism in a number of venues, including science fiction and fantasy conventions.
Stephanie has been called a science blogger and a sex blogger, but if it means she has to choose just one thing to be or blog about, she's decided she's never going to grow up. In addition to science and sex and the science of sex, you'll find quite a bit of politics here, some economics, a regular short fiction feature, and the occasional bit of concentrated weird.
Oh, and arguments. She sometimes indulges in those as well. But I'm sure everything will be just fine. Nothing to worry about. Nothing at all.
no less impressive for fact that you do it while constantly dealing with lectronic turds thrown by lectroinc primates in the lectronic primate house. or was it turds throwng turds?
A well-deserved win! You have a knack for thoughtful, heavily researched posts. I’m still impressed by the connection you found between Ron Lindsay and an obscure feminist blogger.
Secular Woman did a great job with its awards across the board. I learn a lot from all the Freethought Blogs I read, but yours is the one I value most for its insight about what is wrong with the status quo and especially about how to fix it.
Congratulations, Stephanie! I think this is not only a tribute to the high quality of your blogging but also the variety of topics you cover. Amongst the other winners in the SW awards this is very well-deserved recognition.
What an amazing group of people. Congratulations Stephanie, and all!
Cool, well done, must have been your incisive coverage of the block bot wot won it 😉

Woot!
You do write a damn damn fine blog. Woot, indeed.
Can’t think of a more deserving blog or blogger. 🙂
Congratulations, Stephanie!!! Very-well deserved.

Oops. Sorry about the typo in #10. I hit submit too fast.
I enjoy reading Almost Diamonds and have learned so much!
Bravissima, ma’am, well-earned.
*happy dance*
Congratulations!
