Just stopped by the local groceries for some sandwich fixings, and the headline on the local paper reads:

Santorum, Romney On Top
Santorum, and Romney on top. It’s going to take me all damn day to get that mental picture out of my head.

This must mean that the bottom of the pile is now free to accept the VP slot. There is some hope in that the Iowa voters did reject the obviously Bat-shit crazy.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by that. I include Santorum on my “bat-shit crazy” list, and Ron Paul is pretty close too. Bachmann got rejected, and Perry got rejected, but there is plenty of bat-shit crazy to go around.

Well … it was pretty much a sure thing that it would be Romney on top. Santorum is used to bending for the Pope and Mittens is habituated to striding in and having his way.

I’m guessing your local newspaper can’t afford an editor?
