That first shot is absolutely mesmerizing because of the way the gulls have lined up, and the lines from the road and water.
Heat 2 on the line, just waiting for the start signal…!
A day at the beach!!!
That’s really a neat line up!
To go with sports metaphors, the gulls are lined up like triathlonists and ibises like swimmers.
Now, what would be the parts of gull triathlon?
I just wonder what lives in the drain that tastes so good and needs to make a dash for the other side in broad daylight.

The triatahlon: race to the beach side fish and chip shop, race to the drain overflow, race to the waste transfer station. It’s a hard life being a scavenger.

Oh and I’ve discovered the nickname for the White Ibis in Australia, the “bin chicken”, for it’s habit of rooting through garbage bins.
